Shelley Allen is vice president, head of drug discovery at Nimble Therapeutics where she is building drug discovery capabilities at the Philadelphia site to progress our internal pipeline. Shelley has over 25 years of experience as a medicinal chemist and drug discovery leader, successfully driving several programs into the clinic.
Prior to joining Nimble, Shelley was VP, Medicinal Chemistry at Think Bioscience where she established drug discovery teams and capabilities to develop their internal programs. Previously, Shelley spent 22 years with Array Biopharma / Pfizer Boulder R&D, in roles of increasing responsibility where she contributed to the discovery of several clinical candidates and two approved drugs. As director of medicinal chemistry at Pfizer, she led programs from lead discovery to IND in the kinase area. Shelley began her career at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer after completing undergraduate studies at DeMontfort University of Leicester. She has published > 40 scientific papers and patents and is active in the American Chemical Society community.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys being her daughter’s biggest cheerleader and enjoys travel, cooking and outdoor activities of all kinds. She is an avid swimmer, biker, rower and pickleball enthusiast.
